Offsite secure online file storage services with nightly data backup
Secure Data Storage (SDS) is a central, secure online backup storage facility for PC and laptop folders and files. Your data is held offsite in a secure allocated storage area and the service includes a daily backup. The file storage can be accessed online with an individual ID and password via the MessageBase website client log-in page.
Once you’ve logged on the file window will look very familiar: it works in the same way as Windows Explorer. Files and documents can be dragged and dropped from desktop folders into the allocated storage folders.
IDs are allocated at an administrator and user level. This allows managers to see all folders and files. Users can only see their specific folders and files.
The servers used for Secure Data Storage are located in a secure facility in London’s Docklands. The servers are clustered, which means that they operate as a single unit. There is a backup each night.
